What Inspires You?

As a young writer, people tend to ask me, this question quite often. Recently, I was chatting with an elderly person who happened to read a story written by me. When he completed reading the story written by me, he instantly liked it (I’m not bragging). He searched me on Facebook and left a message for me.

During our conversation, he asked me, “What inspires you?” I answered him and we ended our conversation. But this question, “What inspires you?” intrigued me. On a larger scale, this is a very important question in anyone’s life. I kept thinking about what must be inspiring people to do certain work?  People do things to achieve something in life, I know but what pushes them to do things? What’s their inner voice or we can say what’s their secret thoughts are? Of course, it is confusing.
I was disturbed. I wanted to understand what inspired people?
At last, I got an answer.
It is simple. We human beings like to complicate each and every issue. When I observed and read many articles related to inspiration and motivation. I found one common thing in all. At last, you’re your own inspiration. Nobody inspires you! You inspire yourself. People do believing things so that you can relate to them and you can keep an aim in your life but you can’t achieve anything until and unless you move your feet.
People also say, my parents are my inspiration, but to an extent it is a lie. They can support you and motivate you by their work but they can’t inspire you. But real meaning of inspiration is—the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something creative. Inspiration is related to innovation and inventiveness.
We inspire ourselves! Things can only happen only if we do those things, no one is going to do it for us! So, you can do three things to inspire yourself.
  1.  Talk to yourself!
  2.  Decide what you want to do in life.
  3. Lastly, secretly or openly follow your dreams.

These three things are enough to inspire you to move forward in life. If you know your destination, you only have to select a perfect route to reach there. So, select wisely and be your own inspiration.
