23th April 2017: Happy World Book Day!

Have you ever seen someone reading a book in a cafe while you’re walking on footpath? If yes, then you must have been curious to know the writer of the book or its title! Next moment turns out to be amazing as you secretly look towards the window to read the name of the writer and book. Yes, sometimes we get crazy about books. Let it be non-fiction, fiction, textbooks or anything – books excite you. Stories in a book excite you.
Today is World Book Day – a memorable day for any writer. The real meaning of this day is to promote reading and writing across the globe. There is also one more fact related to world book day. It is celebrated on the day Sir William Shakespeare was born (23th April 1564). If I start writing about books, it would be a never ending article. So, I have decided to keep it simple!
There is one thing I have always heard about Books. It is said by Sir Ernest Hemingway.

There is no friend as loyal as a book”

I don’t know if it is true or not? I also don’t know if books can be considered as friends. I can write here, what I have seen. Talking about my experience with books and people I have seen reading books is completely magical. When nothing is going right, you want to be left alone, but you need someone. At that particular time, the only friend who will accompany you silently is a – book. Books are true friends. They don’t lie, they don’t expect anything from you, they don’t bother you, they don’t force you, and most importantly they love being in your lovely hands. I know the above sentence is enough to prove that I am insane but it is true. A book is a book. Good or bad doesn’t matter! What matters is – a book. A book is enough to keep you busy if you’re having a hard time.
Books. What matters is a – book. A book can be your best friend and at the same time you can be a lover!
I hope you got it?

Happy World Book Day!
