lose before you win

Winning gives us satisfaction. Losing makes us a learner.”

Life is competition. Oh! Sorry. We made it a competition. If you don’t do well in life, you are surely going to suffer in life. Let’s say: Without winning you land nowhere. I heard once, life of a winner is better than life of a loser. Many people agree with this statement but I don’t feel it is true.  Of course a winner gets a lot of attention, love and appreciation, which a winner deserves. On the other hand, a loser is depressed, gets ignored by people and no one actually understands a loser. But life of a loser is still better than life of a winner because a loser knows the importance of winning and at the same time he knows the disadvantages of being a loser.
The story doesn’t ends here. Winning and losing is much more than what you think it is. While the winner is celebrating his win, the loser is working hard to develop his skills, and knowledge for the upcoming competition. The loser may feel – last time his hard work was of no use and many distracting thoughts may occur in his mind. He may also feel – if he participates and loses again then he would become laughingstock for a day for some people. Still loser won’t give up and start working harder because he knows nothing beats hard work, not even luck!
After sometime, after working hard for months, after giving his best shot, the loser wins something lesser than what he desired but you know what, he is still happy because he won. He is happy because he knows the importance of not winning and he knows what it means to lose. He may not be the best but he is not a loser anymore. He became a learner the day he started to worry about his future by working hard at present. Some may think winning is everything, but only those who will value failures and losing would know how to deal with the toughest times!
Being happy during your good days is nice but, being happy during your worst days is an art.
