#MeToo: Let's talk about it.
Those who're not aware of the new trend #MeToo, let me explain it to you. #MeToo is now a hashtag which has become a rallying cry against sexual harassment and it is too much in news. I wasn't known to it until one of my friends told me about it. There are many women sharing their personal stories, their sexual harassment incidents, and articles about sexual harassment with this hashtag - #MeToo. It's like every day's thing, people open their Facebook and - news feeds consists of stories, articles, with this MeToo hashtag.
Well, women are doing it to create awareness about the sexual harassment cases around the world but, (there's always a but) some people (mostly men) seem to have enough of this shit (not me, and that doesn't change the fact that I'm male). While women are posting incidents with MeToo hashtag to create awareness, some people are busy asking women, why this #MeToo shit? People are asking women to file complaint against people who've molested them instead of posting articles and stories with MeToo hashtag. I would just like to say - it's not that easy to file a complaint and get justice and what if the molester is one of your relative? I live in India, and according to my knowledge and experience, here, women face a lot of difficulties in the society. If women freely go and complaint against the molester, some worst things can also happen. I don't want to say this word but, I have no choice - Acid Attack happened on 15-year-old Laxmi when she tried to speak out against her harasser. (It was easy for me to write the word - acid attack but, it's unimaginable. The pain when your skin melts is just out the universe, it's unbearable).
So, I would like to request all the people (who're against this MeToo hashtag), let women do whatever they want. I know when things are posted on social media, everyone has a right to share their opinion on it. But just understand: it's their way to speak their heart out.
Well, let's keep this gender fight aside and let me tell you my experience about it. When I got informed about it through my friend, I went on Google and searched about it. I got the shock of my life. There were just too many discussions about it, already. There were not just articles about it but, also videos were uploaded on YouTube. Honestly, I find it a great initiative to garner attention of the world towards this major issue - Sexual Harassment.
Lastly, I want to say, if you don't like #MeToo posts just ignore them rather than complaining about it. Sitting at your home, and telling - file a complaint against molester - is easy but facing the society from a woman's point of view is very, very tough.

PS: Sorry, if I was wrong with this concept. I am not very well informed about it. Sexual Harassment has also happened with men but, mostly to women (according to my search). Ignore mistakes, please. Wrote this article at 1.30 a.m. was feeling very sleepy
