Happy Independence Day!

Hello everyone, I know, I am acting quite strange this year. Writing and stopping in middle. I’m not regular to my blogging. I’m sorry for it.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL OF YOU!

I wake up early in the morning. I look outside; the brightness has taken its birth. I look towards the wall clock. It’s ticking and reaching to 7.50. I wash my face and step outside for a walk. It was Sunday. There is a kind of jolly environment around me. I look at others; everyone is trying to enjoy their moments. Some kids are playing cricket, some are just chatting away, some oldies are talking about recent developments, and some more I can see are busy doing their own work. I go to a tea stall and ask him to provide me a cup of tea. He smiles and tells me to sit. There are people at tea stall who are reading newspaper. I don’t feel like reading newspapers anymore so I ignore it, sniggering. Meanwhile, I hear girls laughing on a joke. One of them again repeats the joke. I hear it, again. But, I don’t laugh.

Just forget about whatever you have read above and now the actual article starts:

We all celebrate Independence Day! OH! Wait! Do we all celebrate Independence Day? That’s a question, I ask everyone. Well, to say I don’t get much of interesting response. Some say, they are going to sleep all day or enjoy the national holiday. Is Independence Day only a holiday? No it’s not. Not at least for me. This is the day—we Indians got Independence. This is the day when British gave up on ruling India and the UK parliament declared India has an Independent and free country. Many people gave their lives just for our sake. Did they show selfishness while fighting against goras? Why they sacrificed their lives for our future and predominantly for India’s future? During my school time, this question always disturbed me. I figured it out by discovering an answer which involves one word—Love. People sacrificed their lives because they loved India, flawlessly. Trust me; love without flaws is a true one. Let this be at one side. Let’s look at us. Do we love India? I think we don’t love our country. If we loved it, we wouldn’t criticize it, so much. I mentioned above, I left the habit of reading newspaper. It is because I can’t read my country’s destruction. Rapes, murders, kidnapping, drugs, scams, and stories about irresponsible citizens: is all one newspaper consists of. I know not reading all this won’t change anything. But not reading it, gives me comfort. I know it is hard to observe such things in society. We do it, every day. I won’t make this article too big. I just want to ask you all one question: Do you love India?

If yes, then hats off to you!

Stop criticizing your own motherland, fight against what matters to you, live life with dignity, respect everyone, and last but not the least make India a better place to live. Please contribute towards prosperity of our nation.

I heard it. But, I did not laugh. I stayed calm and walked away. I was feeling angry. The Joke was:

India can never be an independent nation. Because it sucks like anything!

This was the joke! I hate those girls who read such a filthy joke. Dirtiest joke, ever I heard. After sometime I was passing by a bungalow, an old man was reading a book. He was reading it loudly. I went near him and started listening to him. He was reading about India’s achievements over years.

‘Why are you reading out so loudly?’ I asked him.

‘I want people to know what all India has achieved after its independence. They feel India is good for nothing. So, I’m just informing them, India has achieved everything.’ He replied. I liked what he said.

What I believe is: India will always be an independent nation because its people are not dependent and are free to do what they actually do! I think what I believe is the truth. India is recognized by what I and all Indian citizens do! So, be a good person.

JAI HIND!
